World Mental Health Day is observed on 10 October every year, with the overall objective of raising awareness of mental health issues around the world and mobilizing efforts in support of mental health. To bring to the people’s awareness about the goal of this year’s World Mental Health Day campaign which is mental health for all: ‘Greater investment – Greater access’

The Department of Psychology, Sahrdaya College of Advanced Studies Kodakara, organized a webinar on “Crisis Management & Mental Health” in association with IQAC as part of World Mental Health Day celebration on 9th October 2020 at 10.00 am through Google meet platform as well as YouTube live streaming. Dr.Alexander Jacob I P S, (Rtd) DGP, Kerala Police was the resource person. The programme started with a silent prayer followed by welcome speech by Dr. Varghese Paul K( HOD Psychology). Rev. Fr.Dr. Devis Chenginiyadan,Executive director, Sahrdaya college of Advanced Studies formally inaugurated the programme with his inaugural address. Dr. Jenson P.O, Principal, Sahrdaya college of Advanced Studies delivered the felicitation. Vice principals Dr. Rani M.J and Dr. Mathew Paul Ukken were present. The Chief guest was introduced by Dr. Preeji K.P, Assistant Profeesor of the department of Psychology. A detailed presentation and discussion on the topic ensued. This was followed by vote of thanks by Dr. Sr. Jessy George SCC, Assistant Professor of the department of Psychology. More than 300 participants from various colleges and research institutions participated in the program out of the total 520 registrations.
