Department of Management Studies conducted a webinar on the topic “Managing your Finances and Investments in Covid Times” on 27th May 2020 from 10.00am to 11.30am. the session was handled by Mr. Pradeep Chandrasekaran, founder and director of Finmark trainers Pvt. Ltd. Finmark is a leading financial education company located in Cochin, having a training experience since 1991 and spread across various parts of India and UAE.
Objective of the webinar was

• Learn to protect and secure your capital.
• Learn to secure yourselves from bank failures
• Learn the importance of an Emergency fund
The session had 66 participants from various domains of the industry like education, banking, professionals, households and students in and around south India. The webinar began with a formal welcome speech delivered by Asst. Prof. Seena Alapatt representing department of Management Studies and Sahrdaya College of Advanced Studies. The session was highly successful in transforming a vague knowledge on fund management to a concrete mode of planning, investing and yielding good capital returns during the covid crisis in economy. A live interaction was facilitated for the participants to raise their queries and clarifications on the same.
Conduct of Webinar
Webinar invitation was circulated among various social media platforms and registrations from candidates were received through Google forms and a whatsapp group was created for facilitating further communication regarding webinar. Webinar was hosted in Zoom platform and meeting ID and password was informed through whatsapp group for joining the meeting. The participants were issued e-certificate based on the receipt of feedback forms from the participants.
