Remote Sensing & GIS

SCAS provide addon course,  Remote Sensing and GIS for the students of B.Sc. Chemistry 2018 to 2020 admissions . Geographical Information Systems (GIS) and Remote Sensing techniques have emerged as efficient and powerful tools in different fields of science over the last two decades. The GIS has the ability to store, arrange, retrieve, classify, manipulate, analyze and present huge spatial data and information in a simple manner. The RS technique is used to collect detailed information in space and time even from inaccessible areas.

Applications

  • GIS in Cartography
  • Telecom & Network services
  • Accident Analysis and Hot Spot Analysis
  • Urban Planning
  • Environmental Impact Analysis
  • Transportation Planning
  • Disaster Management and Mitigation
  • Landslide Hazard Zonation using GIS
  • Landuse and Landcover
  • Natural Resources Management.
