80th Commemoration of Hiroshima

As part of the 80th anniversary of the Hiroshima tragedy, the NSS Unit of Sahrdaya College of Advanced Studies (Autonomous) organized a Hiroshima Remembrance programme. The event, held at the college’s Central Auditorium, was inaugurated by the Executive Director, Rev. Dr. Devis Chenginiyadan, who presented Sadako cranes—a universal symbol of peace crafted by NSS Volunteer Shreya Suresh—to Principal Dr. Joy K. L. and Vice Principal Dr. K. Karuna.
NSS Volunteer Angel Rose rendered an anti-war song, evoking the spirit of peace. This was followed by a Sadako Crane-Making Workshop led by Ms. Rajasree V. V., Ms. Jis Maria Jose, and Ms. Shiny Jose. As part of the remembrance, a Sadako Crane-Making Competition was also conducted Asso. Executive Director Rev. Dr. Joji Kallingal, Dean of Academics Dr. Sheeba M. B., and NSS Volunteers Poornima Shankar, Gopika Muraleedharan, and Muhammed Nihal also addressed the gathering
