A Lecture Series on innovation, entrepreneurship and IPR, “Learn How to Manage Business”, was organized by the Institution’s Innovation Council, SCAS on August 19 and 22, 2022. Rev. Dr. Devis Chenginiyadan, Executive Director, SCAS inaugurated the series.
The session on angel investments and VC funding was organized on August 19, 2022 at 10.00 a.m. The resource person was Mr. Rahul A. R., Assistant Professor, Sahrdaya Institute of Management Studies, Kodakara. He described angel investments and VC funding and various grants provided by KSUM and Start-up India. He also persuaded the students to continuously refer site of KSUM.
The session on accelerators/incubation – opportunities for students & faculties – early – stage entrepreneurs was engaged by Mr. Ajay Basil Varghese, Assistant Professor & Incubation Centre-in-charge, Adi Shankara Institute of Engineering and Technology (ASIET), Kalady on August 22, 2022 at 9.30 a.m.. He started the sessions with the activities to show the reluctance of students to come forward and discussed various entrepreneurial activities, patents and the details of the incubation programmes conducted at his college.
A workshop on Intellectual Property Rights (IPRS) and IP Management For Start-Up by Dr. Geethika G., Assistant Professor, Political Science, Union Christian College, Aluva was organized on August 22, 2022 at 3.00 p.m. In the session, Dr. Geethika started with Intellectual Property, and detailed its importance, various kinds of Intellectual Property Rights (IPR), the process and fee structure to apply for IPR, etc.
