As a part of Environment Day, the NSS unit of Sahrdaya College of Advanced Studies conducted a seminar on ‘Environmental Protection Laws’. The program commenced at 10.00 with a prayer song by Deena (NSS volunteer). Christeena (NSS volunteer) welcomed everyone to the programme. Dr. Mathew Paul Ukken (Principal, Sahrdaya College of Advanced Studies) officially welcomed everyone. Rev. Dr. Fr. Devis Chenginiyadan (Executive director, Sahrdaya college of advanced studies) did the presidential address. He talked about the history of environment day. He congratulated NSS volunteers for organizing such a programme. Dr. Rani M.J (Vice Principal) felicitated the function. She talked about the importance of environment in our life. Adv. K.G Satheeshan (Chief Guest) inaugurated the programme. He said the awareness should be given to the youth as they are the future of the country. The program ended by 11. 25 with a ‘Kavita Parayanam’. Minnu Mariya (NSS volunteer) gave off vote of thanks. NSS volunteers of Sahrdaya college of advanced studies created a video in the theme of ‘Wealth Out of Waste’. They recycled plastic products and newspapers.
