HR Department SCAS initiated to start a blood donation army with the motto Donate Blood , Give Life.The inaugural function was on 27th September 2018. The function started with prayer. HR representative Mr. Adarsh P R welcomed the dignitaries. Rev. Fr. Shaju Chirayath, Finance Officer presided over the function. Ms. Anju Paul, Secretary SCAS Blood donation Army presented the report. Chief Guest Rev. Fr. Dr. Francis Alappatt (Founder & Jubilee Mission Hospital, Thrissur) inaugurated the function and shared his experience, since he is the person who introduced blood bank campaign in Kerala State. He is also an eminent personality in the field of social work and encouraged the students to donate blood and give life as a social commitment. Mr. Amal Antu, student convenor, SCAS Blood Army extended vote of thanks. The programme was concluded with National Anthem. In addition consent letter from parents of students in the blood donation army was collected to be worked for the club whenever necessary. One of the member Mr. Kalidas, III Year B Com Banking student donated blood to a needy person. A future plan to organise a blood donation camp in collaboration with IMA is in progress.
