As part of the International Women’s Day celebrations, NSS Unit 291, in collaboration with IQAC, organized WINGS – Women Inspiring Generations, a program aimed at empowering and inspiring women. A key event under this initiative was “AARCHA” – Empowering Girls: Self-Defense Training for Confidence and Strength, which was inaugurated by ASI Gigi V.V. from the Thrissur Rural Police Self-Defense Team during a special session presided over by Dr. Karuna K., Vice Principal of the college.
In his message, Dr. Joy K.L., Principal, emphasized the crucial role of self-defense training in ensuring women’s safety, stating that such programs equip them with the confidence and skills to protect themselves. Dr. Karuna K. further underlined the necessity of self-defense training, highlighting that empowering young women with these skills is a fundamental need in today’s world.
Following the inauguration, ASI Gigi V.V. shed light on the various challenges women face in society and provided practical strategies to overcome them.
