ARDRAM – Palliative Care Day Commemoration
The Palliative Care Day was observed with great significance under the joint auspices of the IQAC and NSS Unit. The event was presided over by Vice Principal Dr. Karuna K., with the inauguration graced by Dr. K. Aravindakshan, Secretary of the Thrissur District Pain and Palliative Care Society. A major highlight of the event was the signing of an MoU for the Ardram project, an initiative dedicated to providing comprehensive palliative care training for all students of the college. Marking the spirit of compassion and service, the funds collected by the students for patients at the palliative care center were handed over by NSS volunteers. Adding value to the program, Mr. Akhil Valsarajan, a renowned palliative care trainer, conducted an engaging session on the topic, “Palliative Care: What It Is and How to Provide It,” offering deep insights and practical knowledge to the students. The event began with a warm welcome address by NSS Program Officer K. Jayakumar and concluded on a note of gratitude with a heartfelt vote of thanks delivered by College Union Chairperson Merin Baby. The commemoration reflected a collective commitment to service, empathy, and impactful learning.
