INSTITUTION’S COUNCIL A SESSION ON INNOVATION, ENTREPRENEURSHIP, AND START-UPS 2025

Programme Objectives:
- Promote creative thinking and problem-solving.
- Teach basic skills for starting and managing a business.
- Give guidance on how to access a safe and reliable funding and support systems.
- Support national efforts to grow innovation and start-ups.
On 25th June 2025, the Institution Innovation Council organized an inspiring and knowledgeable session on Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and Start-ups. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from faculty, students, and startups. The session aimed to bring awareness about the importance of innovation and entrepreneurship. A total of 35 students from various departments attended. The main objective was to educate participants about commercial thinking and enlighten young minds about opportunities in the start-up ecosystem.
The event commenced with a soulful prayer rendered by the College Choir, setting a serene and respectful tone. Mr. Archana A.B, Assistant Professor, Department of Computer extended a warm welcome to the dignitaries. Fathima Mariya, a student, gave the guest speaker a brief yet impactful introduction. She emphasized the significance of innovation in today’s academic and professional landscape.
Principal Dr. Joy K.L addressed the audience with encouraging words on the importance of nurturing entrepreneurial talent within academic institutions. He highlighted the role of educators in guiding students toward creative and impactful careers.
Mr. Anil Antony, Assistant Professor, CSE in Sahrdaya College of Engineering and Technology, delivered the inaugural speech. His introduction touched on the evolving technological landscape and the need for proactive learning and innovation.
Finance Officer Fr. Sebin Vazhappally shared his perspective on the importance of holistic development. His message focused on resilience, leadership, and ethical entrepreneurship. Ms. Fathima S.K., Head of Education Department of Sahrdaya, delivered the felicitation and congratulated the organizing team. She also encouraged students to take full advantage of such enriching opportunities. The session came to a close with a heartfelt vote of thanks. The vote of thanks was delivered by Ms. Fathima Mariya, a student of the 3rd semester B.Sc. IT.
