On 24ᵗʰ June 2025, the Department of Management Studies organized a SMART Alumni Talk featuring Ms. Merrin Baby, a proud alumna of the 2022–25 BBA batch. The session was conducted for the benefit of first-year BBA students and was held in the classroom. The programme commenced with a warm welcome by Ms. Seena A O, the Programme Coordinator, who introduced the speaker and set the tone for the session. Ms. Merrin Baby, through her talk, shared valuable insights into the importance of internships in gaining real-world experience and improving employability. She highlighted how internships serve as a bridge between classroom learning and corporate expectations. She also spoke about various features of the college that helped her and her peers succeed—such as the digital library, mentorship from experienced faculty, and strong industry-academian partnerships. Her practical tips and motivational words resonated well with the audience. The session also featured an interactive segment, where Merrin responded to student queries and shared personal anecdotes about her college life, internship journey, and how she continues to stay connected with the college and her batchmates. She encouraged students to make the most of the alumni network and to actively participate in college events and opportunities. The talk concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks delivered by Vaidehi, expressing gratitude for Merrin’s inspiring and insightful session.
