Vanamaholsavam 2025
Date : 07th July 2025
As part of its ongoing commitment to environmental conservation, NSS Unit 291 of Sahrdaya College of Advanced Studies (Autonomous) observed Vanamaholsavam 2025 in collaboration with the Forest Department, Chalakudy Division, Pariyaram Range. The event began with a powerful keynote address by Section Forest Officer Sri. Bibin Chandran, who emphasized the message “when forests flourish, humanity prospers,” inspiring the audience to take meaningful action toward ecological protection. Adding a creative and emotional touch, NSS volunteer Ms. Angel Rose captivated the gathering with a presentation of songs and poems centered on environmental themes, encouraging reflection on humanity’s bond with nature. A major highlight of the programme was the seed ball dispersal initiative carried out at the Chattukallum Thara forest region, an area previously damaged by a landslide. The effort, led by NSS volunteers, aimed at reviving the local ecosystem and promoting natural afforestation. The programme was successfully coordinated by Student Coordinator Mr. Samuel Varghese, with valuable support from Forest Officers Sri. Jishor Jaini and Sri. Saju K.L. Vanamaholsavam 2025 served as a symbol of hope, responsibility, and collective action, inspiring participants to become proactive stewards of nature and champions of environmental resilience.
