Voluntary Blood Donation Camp
The NSS Unit and Social Work Department jointly organized a voluntary blood donation camp in collaboration with the Thrissur IMA Blood Bank. The event, held in the college, emphasized the spirit of compassion and service. Addressing the students, the College Executive Director, Rev. Dr. Devis Chenginiyadan, encouraged them to set an example of kindness through voluntary blood donation. Principal Dr. Joy K.L. commended the students who actively participated in the initiative. Dr. Balagopal, Medical Officer of the IMA Blood Bank, delivered an insightful session on the precautions and guidelines to be followed during blood donation. Leading by example, Mr. Renjith M., Associate HoD of the Computer Science Department, was the first to donate blood, inspiring many others to follow suit. The teaching staff, under the guidance of Assistant Professor Delia, and the non-teaching staff, led by Senior Clerk Jaison M.K., also participated in the noble cause. A total of 55 individuals came forward to donate blood during the camp. The event witnessed the presence and support of key dignitaries, including the College Finance Officer, Rev. Father Anto Vattoli; Vice Principal Dr. Karuna K.; and the Head of the Social Work Department, Albia Mary George. Student coordinators Arya K.A. and Shankar Muraleedharan also played pivotal roles in ensuring the success of the event.
