SPORTS CONVOCATION 2023-24

Sports convocation was organized by Sahrdaya College to felicitate the winners of
international, national and university sports competitions from this college during
the academic year 2023-24. Irinjalakuda Diocese Bishop and Chairman of
Irinjalakuda Diocese Educational Trust, Mar Pauly Kannookadan, inaugurated the
function by lighting the lamp with the chairmanship of Rev. Dr. Devis
Chenginiyadan, Director, Sahrdaya College of Advanced Studies. Calicut
University Physical Education Department Director Dir. Sakeer Hussain V P was
the chief guest of the function. He congratulated the management, coaches and
sportspersons of Sahrdaya College for being selected as the second best college in
sports out of more than 420 colleges of Calicut University during the academic
year 2023-24. He opined that the encouragement from the college management is
great for achieving such a good result in such a short period of time. Along with
this, he appreciated the head of sports department and coaches for being able to
participate so many athletes in International and National competitions from
Sahrdaya College. Winners of International National University competitions were
felicitated with momentous and certificates on the occasion. Also, the university
rank holders for the academic year 2023-24 were honored with memento and cash
awards at the function. College Manager Msgr. Wilson Erathara, Principal Dr Joy
K.L, Finance Officer Fr. Anto Vattoly , Vice Principal Dr Karuna K Nair, Dean of
Arts and Commerce Department Professor Thomas K.J, Head of Sports
Department Dr Paul Chacko addressed the sportspersons on the occasion.
