The Department organised an Association Inauguration of CMA US for the Academic Year 2022-23 on 18 October, 2022 at 11am at Aula Magna, Admin Block, SCAS.
Mr. Geevar Thambi CMA, Director Finance, Invisor Management Solutions India Pvt. Ltd , Cochin was the Resource Person. Mr. Alex Tom Joseph, Co-founder and Chief Operating Officer, Invisor Group was also present for the session. The Programme started with a silent prayer by Ms. Greeshma Mariyam, Student Representative, I B.Com CMA US. Dr. Hanna Joseph, Assistant Professor and CMA US Course Co- ordinator, Department of Commerce delivered the welcome speech followed by Report Presentation by Ms. Ligi George, Assistant Professor and Programme Director, Department of Commerce. Rev. Dr. Devis Chenginiyadan, Executive Director, SCAS delivered the Presidential Address. Mr. Geevar Thambi and Mr. Alex Tom Joseph officially inaugurated the CMA US Association by lighting the ceremonial lamp. Dr. Mathew Paul Ukken led the Investiture and the office bearers for the Academic Year 2022-23 took charges after taking the oath. Mr. Niranjan P.B, II B.Com CMA US was selected as the Association Secretary, Ms. Sivani Kochery, I B.Com CMA US was elected as the Joint Secretary and Mr. Alkhesh K.S, III B.Com CMA US was elected as the Treasurer for CMA US. The Resource Persons were honoured with a memento by the Executive Director which was followed by Prize Distribution for the winners of Business Plan competition conducted by the Department of Commerce. The prizes were distributed by Vice Principals Dr. Rani M.J and Dr. Joy K.L. Mr. Niranjan P,B, Association Secretary, CMA US proposed the Vote of Thanks.
Mr. Alkhesh K.S, Treasurer, CMA US introduced the Resource Person which was followed by a talk by Mr. Geevar Thambi, CMA, MBA. The students interacted with the Chief Guest by asking questions and Mr. Geevar answered their queries. The Programme was concluded by Ms. Sivani Kochery, Joint Secretary, CMA US by delivering the feedback of the session. The session was compered by Ms. Ann Mariya and Ms. Abhirami N.B, Student Representative, CMA US. The faculty members of the department actively participated in the session. The total participants for the session was 104.
