As part of the Anti-Narcotics Awareness Campaign, NSS Unit 291 organized a Walkathon titled “Round the Round” in association with the Vimukthi Mission at Swaraj Round, Thrissur, aiming to spread awareness and inspire youth to choose a drug-free and healthy life. The programme was inaugurated by the Hon’ble Revenue Minister, Sri. K. Rajan. An inspiring anti-narcotics message was delivered by Sri. Nigeesh A. R., Assistant Excise Commissioner and Vimukthi Manager, Thrissur, highlighting the urgent need to combat drug abuse and promote a drug-free society. During the walkathon, NSS volunteers presented a visually striking tableau symbolizing the triumph over the “Drug Demon,” which drew the attention of the public. NSS volunteer Angel Rose delivered a powerful performance portraying the Drug Demon, leaving a lasting impact on the audience. All participants took the AntiNarcotics Pledge, reaffirming their commitment to a drug-free life. The walkathon began with an energetic flash mob, spreading a strong message of drug-free youth and a healthier tomorrow. The walkathon was led by the College Principal, Dr. Joy K. L.; Finance Officer, Rev. Fr. Sibin Vazhappilly; and Dean of Commerce, Prof. V. J. Thomas, whose leadership and presence added dignity and significance to the event
