The NCC unit of Sahrdaya College of Advanced Studies, Kodakara celebrated the NCC day on 25th November 2025 with full great enthusiasm and spirit. A total of 28 Senior Division (SD) and 34 Senior Wing (SW) cadets took part in the event. The program commenced with the morning assembly, where NCC cadets assembled in full uniform.
The event was graced by the presence of Fr. Dr. Davis Chenginiyadan, who delivered the presidential address. In his speech, he emphasized the importance of discipline, leadership, and the role of NCC in developing responsible citizens who contribute positively to the nation. LCPL Trishna Suresh, delivered a speech about NCC, explaining the importance of NCC activities and the opportunities it provides to students.
A model NCC camp was set up to provide students with a hands-on experience of NCC training and equipment. Tent Pitching was the highlight of the event that demonstrated essential camping skills. Rifles used by the Indian Army, viz: the SLR, .22, and INSAS (Indian Small Arms System), were also displayed with practical demonstrations conducted by PI staff Havildar Binu V.M. The program concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by CTO of NCC Unit. The celebration ended with the NCC Song followed by the National Anthem.
