The NCC unit of the college celebrated the 77th Republic Day of nation with full vigor and patriotic spirit. The unit is attached to the 23Kerala Battalion NCC Thrissur, of Kerala Lakshadweep Directorate. A total of 28 Senior Division (SD) and 34 Senior Wing (SW) cadets took part in the event. The proceedings commenced at 0800hrs with a formal fall-in of the cadets, followed by a welcome address delivered by Cadet Harith Josson.

The event was graced by Fr. Sibin Vazhapilly, the Finance Officer of the college, who delivered the presidential address before solemnizing the occasion by unfurling the national flag. A highlight of the celebration was the ceremonial gun parade, executed with precision by the team under the leadership of Senior Under Officer (SUO) Cyril Joju. Following the parade, Cadet Jovin delivered an insightful speech reflecting on the glory of Republic Day and the profound history of the nation.

 

The program concluded with a formal vote of thanks proposed by Mr. Sarath John, the Care Taker Officer (CTO) of the NCC unit. The cadets also curated an exhibition of charts and crafts that highlighted the specialty and historical significance of the occasion. The Celebration concluded on a high patriotic note as the cadets sang the NCC song and National Anthem.

 

The NCC Unit successfully executed all training and civic deployment objectives while maintaining high standards of discipline and precision. This operational success directly reflects the structured curriculum of the 23 Kerala Battalion and robust institutional support from college management. Moving forward, the Unit will focus on maximizing cadet vacancies in national attachment camps and securing top gradings in upcoming certificate examinations.
