FRENCH DAY CELEBRATION 2026

Western Eastern Language Department celebrated French National Day with a
vibrant and culturally enriching morning assembly on the 14 th July 2026. The
assembly, centered around the theme 'Liberty, Equality, and Fraternity,' was
organized by theFrench students under the guidance of Ms. Vineetha R. The
assembly was anchored by Alvina Antony of first year B.Sc. Psychology, who
led the programme with enthusiasm and grace. The prayer song was
melodiously rendered by Sona (BBA), Nandana Sreekant Nair (B.Sc.
Psychology), Sayana Sajan (III B.Sc. Psychology), Anliya James (III B.Sc.
Psychology), and A S Joel (III ACCA). This was followed by the Bible reading
and translation by Andriya Babu (I B.A. English), setting a reflective tone for the event. Honey Jaison (II BBA) shared the thought for the day, while Athira
Shaiju (III B.Sc. Geology) presented the word of the day, enhancing the
linguistic and cultural atmosphere of the assembly. Julia Jeejo (II CMA US)
captivated the audience with interesting facts about French National Day,
adding educational value to the celebration. A short video presentation
highlighting the Bastille Day military parade held on 14th July in France offered
a vivid glimpse into the national festivities and patriotic spirit of the country.
The Executive Director addressed the gathering with an insightful speech on the
significance of the French language, its cultural richness, and the importance of
celebrating French National Day. The Principal as well as the Executive Director
appreciated and congratulated all participants and organizers for putting together
a well-coordinated and meaningful assembly. The French National Day
celebration provided a valuable platform for promoting French language
learning and cultural awareness. Centered around the theme “Liberty, Equality,
and Fraternity”, the event highlighted the historical and cultural significance of
Bastille Day through music, speeches, visuals, and informative content. The
celebration concluded with the rendition of the Indian National Anthem,
bringing the event to a respectful and patriotic close.
