FIND MY JOB CONTEST
The Department of Human Excellence has conducted Find my Job Contest in connection with International Youth Skill day. The programme was conducted to
identify and engage students for career opportunities through class-level activities and test their written test for grouping Work From Home, Internship & Placement.
The primary objective of the “Find My Job Contest” was to identify students with career potential and provide them with exposure to real hiring processes through a two-round contest covering Work From Home, Internship, and Placement opportunities.
Students were initially selected through various class activities, resulting in a total participation of 20 students. These participants were organized into five distinct groups, with four members assigned to each group.
The contest was divided into two distinct stages. The first stage, Round 1, served as a written screening round where all 20 selected students took a test covering aptitude, logical reasoning, and basic English. The purpose of this round was to assess individual skills and establish five balanced groups based on scores. Following this, Round 2 acted as the final evaluation round conducted on a group-wise basis to test students in realistic job scenarios. During this final round, each group participated in three specific activities: a Work From Home case study focusing on remote work, communication tools, and time management; an Internship component featuring a mock application and a two-minute role pitch; and a Placement section comprising a group discussion and HR interview questions.
Student performance throughout the contest was evaluated based on communication, teamwork, problem-solving, presentation skills, and domain knowledge.
