The Association Inauguration 2025 of the Postgraduate Department of Psychology, Sahrdaya College of Advanced Studies (SCAS), in association with IQAC, was successfully conducted on November 18, 2025, in the Seminar Hall. The event commenced with a prayer by Anlia James, & Sayana Sajan, followed by a welcome address from Mr. Suresh A. K, HoD, PG Department of Psychology, and the presentation of the annual departmental report by Ms. Aparna Satheesh. Rev. Dr. Devis Chenginiyadan, Executive Director of SCAS, delivered the presidential address before the ceremonial lighting of the lamp marked the official inauguration. New association members of the PG Department of Psychology were formally selected & took their oath, led by Dr. Karuna K, Vice Principal of SCAS; the key office bearers included Aswathy U A (Secretary, II MSc Psychology), Naveen (Joint Secretary, III BSc Psychology), and Sneha K (Treasurer, II MSc Clinical Psychology), along with members Mahima M Nair, Johann Benjamin, Gautham Krishnan V, and Omkar Santhosh Kadam. Another highlight was the technical session on “APA Skills for Psychology Students” delivered by the resource person, Dr. Deepa Francis (MPhil, PhD), HoD of Psychology department at St. Thomas College, Thrissur, who was introduced by Anusha Santhosh. Dr. Francis detailed APA standards across five domains and seventeen skills, using an interactive self-assessment to help students identify their academic strengths and gaps. The academically enriching and motivational program concluded with a formal Vote of Thanks by Ala Shaji.
