The Department of Geology, in association with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), organized a Career Guidance Session for 2nd and 3rd year B.Sc. Geology students on 17th March 2026 at 11:00 AM in the Geology Class (Room No. 333). The session was conducted on the topic “Career Aspects & Modern Trends in Geology.” The resource person for the session was Mr. Henber Thomas (Geomechanics Engineer at Halliburton, Tripura). The resource person delivered an informative and engaging session on the diverse career opportunities and emerging trends in the field of geology. He provided valuable insights about various sectors such as geotechnical engineering, mining and mineral exploration, as well as the oil and gas industry. He also shared his professional experiences, giving students a practical understanding of the challenges and prospects in the field.
