An orientation programme was organized for the B.Com (Professional and Taxation) students of all academic years with the primary objective of familiarizing them with the Chartered Wealth Manager (CWM) course. The session aimed to introduce students to the structure, opportunities, and advantages of pursuing the CWM certification concurrently with their undergraduate studies.
The session was facilitated by delegates from the Hedge School of Applied Economics, who provided a detailed overview of the CWM course curriculum, eligibility, examination process, and career prospects. The resource persons emphasized the increasing demand for certified wealth managers in today’s dynamic financial environment and the global recognition associated with the CWM designation. They also highlighted the relevance of the course in the Indian context, especially in light of evolving financial markets and rising investor awareness.
Through interactive discussions, real-world examples, and industry insights, students were encouraged to explore career paths in wealth management, personal finance advisory, and investment consultancy. The session also shed light on current global trends and employer expectations within the financial services industry, giving students a realistic understanding of what the profession entails.
