The PG Department of Commerce conducted an expert talk for ACCA students on 6th December 2025 at the Decennial Hall as part of the Talk Series by Experts initiative. The session was coordinated by Ms. Megha C. V., Assistant Professor, Department of Commerce. The resource person for the day was Mr. Aswanth Vijayan, an ACCA professional with dual Master’s degrees in Commerce (M.Com) and Business Administration (MBA), holding prestigious certifications in IFRS (IAAP, UK) and Audit (NASBA, USA).
The session focused on the theme “Career Pathways with ACCA: From Audit and Tax to FinTech and Consulting.” Ms. Megha C. V. welcomed the guest and introduced the relevance of the session for ACCA aspirants navigating global professional opportunities.
Mr. Aswanth Vijayan delivered a highly informative and motivating session, elaborating on the diverse career options available for ACCA professionals in today’s global business environment. He explained how ACCA opens pathways in audit, taxation, financial reporting, consulting, advisory, and rapidly growing fields such as FinTech, data analytics, and risk management. With real-life examples and career insights, he highlighted the importance of skill development, global mobility, and continuous learning for succeeding in leading multinational firms.
