The PG Department of Commerce, Sahrdaya College of Advanced Studies (Autonomous), Kodakara, organized Extension Lecture Series – II titled “The Future Banker – Is It You or Chatbot?” on Wednesday, 10th December 2025, from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Seminar Hall. The programme was organized for B.Com Banking students with the objective of creating awareness about the impact of digital transformation and artificial intelligence in the banking sector.
The session was led by Mr. K. A. Babu, former Executive Vice President (Retd.), Federal Bank and Banking Ombudsman under RBI. The programme was coordinated by Ms. Aiswarya Manoj, Assistant Professor, PG Department of Commerce. The resource person delivered an insightful lecture on the evolving role of bankers in the age of automation, the growing use of chatbots and AI in banking services, and the skills required for future banking professionals to remain relevant and effective.
The lecture provided students with practical perspectives drawn from the speaker’s vast professional experience. The interactive session encouraged students to reflect on the balance between technology and human expertise in banking and inspired them to develop both technical and ethical competencies for the future.
