Western Eastern Language Department celebrated French National Day with a vibrant morning assembly on 15 July 2025, organized by 3rd semester French students under the guidance of Mrs. Anna Jacquiline. The program was anchored by Jiya Sibi (ACCA). The prayer song was presented by Soyal Soy (BBA), Nandana Sreekant Nair (B.Sc. Psychology), Sayana (B.Sc. Psychology), Anliya James (B.Sc. Psychology) and Joel (ACCA) followed by the Bible reading and translation by Ashik Babu (B.Com. UMA US). The thought for the day and word of the day were shared by Ananya Manoj (B.A. Graphics) and Adithyan P.S (B.Com. CMU US), respectively. Ala Shaji (B.Sc. Psychology) shared amazing facts related to the French National Day. A short video presentation showcasing the French military parade held on 14th July added depth to the celebration and gave the audience a glimpse of national festivities in France. To further enrich the celebration, an exciting Treasure Hunt competition was conducted, open to all students. The clues, based on French history, culture, and symbols, fostered active participation while enhancing teamwork, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. The day’s events combined education with enjoyment, leaving a memorable impact and deepening students’ appreciation of French culture and Bastille Day.
