On Monday, January 20, 2025, the Western Eastern Language Department organized an international seminar titled KULTURBRÜCKE (Culture Bridge), creating a platform for vibrant cultural exchange. The event witnessed the participation of esteemed delegates from Germany, including Ms. Elke Hannibal, who delivered an inspiring address to the college assembly.
The highlight of the day was an interactive session in the seminar hall centered around the theme of cultural exchange. The session was attended by our Executive Director Fr. Dr. Devis Chenginiyadan, Principal Dr. Joy K.L., Vice Principal Dr. Karuna K., Finance Officer Fr. Anto Vattoly, and German Assistant Professor Fr. Dr. Davis Kannampuzha, alongside enthusiastic students and faculty members.
Students eagerly engaged with the German delegates, posing thoughtful questions about German culture, music, traditions, and lifestyle. The German representatives shared fascinating insights into their cultural practices, including culinary habits, festivals, and the essence of German unity.
Adding an Indian touch to the proceedings, students performed traditional art forms such as Thiruvathirakali and Parichamuttukali, beautifully showcasing India’s rich heritage and vibrant diversity. These captivating performances were met with admiration and appreciation from the German guests, highlighting the mutual respect and curiosity that marked the event.
The  seminar offered a deeper understanding of Germany’s historical and cultural identity. This unique occasion provided students with the rare opportunity to interact with native speakers, fostering cross-cultural friendships and expanding their global perspective.
KULTURBRÜCKE was not just a seminar but a bridge that connected two distinct cultures, leaving a lasting impression on everyone present. It underscored the importance of cultural exchange in shaping a more inclusive and harmonious world
