The Department of Human Excellence, in collaboration with the Quiz & Debate Club of
Sahrdaya College of Advanced Studies, organized a vibrant and intellectually stimulating event
– the Sports Quiz “KVIZ 23”. The program was held on Monday, 4th August 2025, at the
prestigious Decennial Hall of the college. The aim of the event was to kindle the spirit of
quizzing among students, promote a deeper understanding of sports, and create a platform that
blends knowledge with excitement. The program commenced at 11:00 AM with a warm
welcome by the event organizers, Jeffin (3rd year B.Sc Psychology) and Jesel Mary (2nd year
B.Sc IT). They highlighted the importance of sports not only as a form of physical activity but
also as a significant cultural and intellectual domain.
The quiz began with a written preliminary round designed to test the fundamental sports
knowledge of all participating teams. Questions ranged from cricket, football, and athletics to
Olympic history and recent sporting events. The excitement was visible as teams
enthusiastically attempted to secure a spot in the finals. The shortlisted teams progressed to the
final round conducted by the Quiz Masters, Sheza (2nd year BCA) and Jomon (3rd year Bcom
Fintech), who kept the atmosphere engaging with their dynamic style and challenging
questionsThe audience was actively engaged through bonus questions. The winners of the
KVIZ 23 are Kevin Anto and Ahammed Sahal (2nd year Bcom ACCA B) & Prayag. P Menon
and Aadithyan T.S (2nd year ACCA A). Their enthusiastic responses added to the competitive
spirit of the event, creating an inclusive atmosphere where every student felt part of the
celebration of sports knowledge.
