LANTERN- ALUMNI TALK SERIES: TALK 9

The Postgraduate Department of English, Sahrdaya College of Advanced Studies (Autonomous),
Kodakara, organized the ninth talk of Lantern Alumni Talk series on 23 January 2026 from 1.30
pm to 2.30pm. Ms. Jency Jacob, Content Creator, Mathrubhumi News, Thiruvananthapuram
was the Alumna (BA English 2019-2022) speaker. After the welcome speech delivered by
Assistant Professor Sheena Sarah Winny, Head of the Department, and faculty coordinator of
the Talk Series, and a brief introduction of the alumna by Mebina Joy of 2nd semester BA
English, Student Coordinator, the Talk commenced. Ms. Jency Jacob shared her career
experiences, and introduced the various facets of professional journalism. Dr. Fr. Devis
Chenginiyadan, Executive Director presented a memento to the speaker. The event concluded
with the vote of thanks proposed by Gayathri Ravindranath of 4th semester BA English,
Department Association Secretary. Students of BA English and MA English attended the event.
