In observance of Minority Mental Health Month, the Post Graduate Department of Psychology at Sahrdaya College of Advanced Studies, Kodakara, in collaboration with the IQAC, organized a digital poster-making competition for undergraduate psychology students. The event aimed to encourage students to creatively express the importance of mental health within minority communities, highlighting the unique challenges and potential solutions pertinent to this demographic. The competition was announced on July 25, 2024, with a submission deadline of July 29, 2024. A total of six undergraduate psychology students participated, and their entries were evaluated based on creativity, relevance to the theme, visual impact, and clarity of message by a judging panel comprising faculty members from the Department of Psychology. The competition saw enthusiastic participation, with Surya Suresh P from II BSc. Psychology securing the first place, and Sayana Sjan from I BSc. Psychology achieving the second place for their exceptional work. This initiative reflects the department’s commitment to fostering awareness and dialogue around mental health issues affecting minority communities.
