National Seminar and Conference on Emerging Trends in Information Technology 3.0
The Department of Computer Science and Application, Sahrdaya College of Advanced Studies (SCAS) organized a National Seminar and Conference on Emerging Trends in Information Technology 3.0 on 13th March 2026 from 9:30 AM to 4:00 PM at the Seminar Hall. The event aimed to provide a platform for academicians, researchers, and students to discuss recent developments and innovations in the field of Information Technology.
The programme began with a prayer, setting a positive tone for the day. The welcome address was delivered by Mr. Renjith M., Assistant Professor and Head of the Department of Computer Science, who warmly welcomed the dignitaries, resource persons, faculty members, and participants.
The seminar was formally inaugurated by Rev. Dr. Joji Kallingal, Executive Director of Sahrdaya College of Advanced Studies, who delivered the inaugural address. In his speech, he emphasized the importance of staying updated with emerging technologies and encouraged students and researchers to actively engage in innovation and research in the IT field.
The programme included three keynote sessions delivered by distinguished academicians.
Dr. Ashvini Alashetty, Assistant Professor from S-Vyasa Deemed-to-be University, Bangalore, delivered the first keynote address, highlighting emerging technological trends and their real-world applications.
Dr. Divya M. O., Assistant Professor at the School of Computer Science & Application, S-Vyasa Deemed-to-be University, presented the second keynote talk, focusing on advanced research developments in computing technologies.
Dr. Saravanan V. M., Assistant Professor in the Department of Animation & Virtual Reality, Jain (Deemed-to-be University), delivered the third keynote session, sharing insights into innovative technologies such as animation, virtual reality, and their applications in modern computing.
Following the keynote sessions, the programme included technical sessions and conference paper presentations, where participants presented their research papers and projects. These sessions provided an opportunity for scholars and students to exchange ideas, discuss research findings, and receive feedback from experts. The presentations were conducted in the AV Room, while keynote sessions were held in the Seminar Hall.
The programme schedule also included tea breaks and a lunch break, which allowed participants to interact and network with fellow researchers and academicians.
The Principal’s Address was delivered by Dr. Joy K. L., Principal of Sahrdaya College of Advanced Studies, who appreciated the department for organizing such an academic event and encouraged students to actively participate in research activities. Dr. Karuna K. Nair, Vice Principal, offered the felicitation, acknowledging the contributions of the resource persons and organizers.
The closing ceremony began at 3:15 PM, during which Rev. Dr. Joji Kallingal was honored for his presence and support. Certificates were distributed by Dr. Joy K. L., Principal, to the participants who presented papers in the conference.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Dr. Jayamol P. James, Assistant Professor and Programme Director, who expressed sincere gratitude to the chief guest, keynote speakers, management, faculty members, organizing committee, and participants for their support and cooperation in making the seminar a grand success.
