The Department of Social Work, in association with SWASTH, observed World Nature Conservation Day on 1st August 2025 at 10:00 a.m. The event was inaugurated by Mr. Amal V. Anil, Faculty, Department of Social Work. The prayer was led by Ms. Amritha E. M. and Ms. Rosemary Antu, Social Work Trainees.

The Programme Coordinator, Mr. Ebin Babu, delivered the welcome address, followed by the presidential address by Ms. Drisya T. P., Vice President of SWASTH. Ms. Jeesmariya A. J., Social Work Trainee, gave an introduction about the significance of World Nature Conservation Day. Social Work Trainees Ms. Oshin and Ms. Anjali presented a PowerPoint presentation on nature conservation. A video presentation was screened by Mr. Amal Babu, Secretary of SWASTH. A quiz competition was conducted by Ms. Devapriya and Ms. Minnu Shoji, Social Work Trainees, with Ms. Jeesmariya A. J. emerging as the winner. Following this, students distributed saplings to the faculty members of the Department of Social Work as a symbol of environmental awareness.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Ms. Elizabeth Roy, Social Work Trainee. The feedback on the event was given by Ms. Jeesmariya A. J., Social Work Trainee.
