On 27th September 2025, the Department organized a Pick and Speak competition exclusively for first-year students. The primary aim of the event was to enhance the students’ communication and reading skills while fostering confidence in public speaking. The competition provided a platform for students to express their thoughts on contemporary issues and current scenarios spontaneously.
A total of 15 enthusiastic students participated in the competition. Each participant was given a spot topic relevant to current events and trends. Students were allowed one minute of “cool time” to gather their thoughts and structure their ideas. Following this preparation period, each participant delivered a speech of three minutes on the assigned topic.
