The department of human excellence and placement cell & students jointly organized a quiz competition series ‘KVIZ-SAHRDAYA QUIZ COMPETITION SERIES 19′ on 13th December, 2024 at 2:20 P.M. in the Decennial Hall, based on the November months current affairs.
Placement Cell Co-ordinator, Ms. Carolin Antony gave the Welcome address. The quiz masters of the competition were Ms .Ethna Elizabeth from 3rd BBA and Ms Glady Baiju from 3rd BBA .The event coordinators were Caine Benoy from second year BCA and Anamika Ajaykumar of second year BCom ACCA.
Ms Alenrose Wincent (3rd BBA) and Powell Arakkal (3rd BBA) were the members of the winning team. They were awarded cash prize.
Quiz Structure:
The quiz consisted of a series of multiple-choice questions based on the news articles, editorials, and important sections from The Hindu newspaper published throughout November 2024. Key areas covered included:
- National News
- International Affairs
- Business and Economy
- Sports
- Science and Technology
- Editorial and Opinion Columns
Participation:
- The event saw enthusiastic participation from over 100 students across different departments.
- The quiz was conducted offline.
Rounds of the Quiz: The quiz was conducted in two rounds:
- Preliminary Round:

- A 20-question quiz was designed to test general awareness of June 2024 events.
- The top 10% of the participants were selected for the final round based on their scores.
- Final Round:

- A more challenging quiz with 30 questions focused on editorial insights, deeper understanding of current issues, and analytical thinking.
- The participants were required to answer within a stipulated time of 30 seconds.
