The Department of Human Excellence successfully organized Skill Camp 2025 from 28th to 30th July
2025 for undergraduate students of Arts, Science, Commerce, and Management streams. The three day program aimed at enhancing life skills, professional competencies, and self-development among
students. Through a series of engaging sessions, outbound training, and interactive activities, the camp
offered students an opportunity to develop confidence, teamwork, communication, leadership, and
career readiness.
Day 1: 28 July 2025
Arts & Science Students (Seminar Hall)
The program began with a warm ice-breaker session, helping students ease into the camp
environment. This was followed by a session on building confidence and self-esteem,
equipping participants with tools to overcome self-doubt and develop a positive mindset.

After a short break, students participated in preparation activities for outbound training, where
they were guided on teamwork and adaptability. Post-lunch, a session by Mr. Anoop inspired
students with practical life lessons and skill-building strategies. The day concluded with an
insightful discussion on the importance of internships and volunteering, highlighting the role
of experiential learning in career growth.

Commerce & Management Students (Decennial Hall)

Parallelly, the Commerce and Management students began with an ice-breaker, followed by an
engaging session by Mr. Anoop, focusing on motivation and holistic development.The post-lunch session featured logical reasoning activities designed to sharpen problemsolving skills. Students were then oriented for outbound training, followed by a session on the
importance of internships and volunteering, emphasizing skill application beyond classrooms.

Day 2: 29 July 2025
Arts & Science Students
Students underwent outbound training by HED, divided into two groups—one at Abhaya
Bhavan and the other at Santhi Sadanam. These sessions encouraged team spirit, adaptability,
and leadership through outdoor activities and real-life challenges.

Post-lunch, participants attended a workshop on overcoming stage fear and basics of public
speaking led by Ms. Tresa Saritha Varghese (Asst.Professor, Department of English). The
activity “Speak to Inspire: Short Speech Challenge” gave students a platform to practice and
showcase their public speaking skills. The day concluded with reflections, where students
shared their learning experiences.

Commerce & Management Students
Commerce and Management students participated in outbound training at Smile Village, where
they engaged in experiential learning activities focusing on resilience, teamwork, and creative
problem-solving.

The day wrapped up with reflections, enabling students to analyze personal growth and group
experiences.

Day 3: 30 July 2025
Arts & Science Students
The third day began with outbound training at Smile Village, where students further developed
adaptability and cooperative learning. The camp concluded with a reflection session, where
students articulated their progress in confidence, teamwork, and leadership.
