The P.G. Department of Commerce of Sahrdaya College of Advanced Studies, Kodakara, in association with the National Institute of Securities Markets (NISM), organized an expert talk on “Capital Market and Mutual Fund” for the final-year B.Com Finance students. The session was held on 4th December 2025 in Room No. 23 from 11:00 AM to 12:45 PM. The resource person for the session was Mr. Sourabh Khanna, NISM.
The programme began with a prayer, followed by a welcome address delivered by Ms. Asha A., Assistant Professor, Department of Commerce. She highlighted the importance of financial awareness and the relevance of the topic for students specializing in finance.
Mr. Sourabh Khanna led the session with an informative and engaging presentation. He provided a clear understanding of financial planning, the importance of early investment, and the process of building long-term financial security. He explained various investment platforms, including mutual funds, direct equity, SIPs, and government-backed schemes, enabling students to compare and evaluate the best options available in the market.
