“The Rise of AI: Transforming Industries and Careers”
The Department of Computer Science and Application at Sahrdaya College of Advanced Studies, Kodakara, Thrissur, organized an expert talk titled “The Rise of AI: Transforming Industries and Careers” as part of the Techmasters Expert Talk Series – 4 on 9th March 2026. The session was conducted at the Decennial Hall, SCAS, from 10:00 AM to 12:45 PM. The program was arranged for the first-year students of BSc Computer Science, BSc Information Technology, BSc Artificial Intelligence, and BCA.
The session was handled by Ms. Varadha V. R, Robotics Systems Engineer at Inker Robotics Solutions. The expert talk aimed to introduce students to the growing impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and emerging technologies across industries and to guide them in understanding the future career opportunities in this rapidly evolving field.
During the session, the resource person provided an overview of how AI is transforming industries and everyday life. She introduced key concepts such as Generative AI, Agentic AI, Prompt Engineering, and AI-driven workflows. The speaker explained how these technologies are being integrated into modern systems and how they contribute to automation, innovation, and improved efficiency in various sectors.
Ms. Varadha also shared insights from her professional experience in industrial robotics, Internet of Things (IoT), and embedded systems. She discussed the development of integrated hardware–software solutions for robotics and automation, giving students a practical understanding of real-world applications of AI and robotics.
