The “We Stand with Wayanad” Alumni Contribution Programme was organized by SPARKLETS SAHRDAYA ALUMNI ASSOCIATION to support relief efforts in Wayanad. The event was held at the Central Auditorium and witnessed the enthusiastic participation of alumni, faculty, and students.
The programme commenced with a prayer by the College Choir, setting a solemn and reflective tone. Dr. Joy K. L., Principal, SCAS, delivered the welcome speech, emphasizing the importance of collective efforts in supporting those in need.
Following this, Dr. Devis Cheginiyaden, Executive Director, SCAS, delivered the presidential address, highlighting the significance of alumni contributions in fostering a culture of giving back to society.
The event was officially inaugurated by P. J. Saneesh Kumar, Chalakudy MLA, who commended the institution and its alumni for their generosity and commitment to social welfare.
A key moment of the event was the handover of the first alumni contribution of Rs. 5,000/-, presented by Asst. Prof. Christopher Louis, Alumni Coordinator, to P. J. Saneesh Kumar, Chalakudy MLA. The total alumni contribution for the initiative amounted to Rs. 24,000/-, demonstrating the strong commitment of Sahrdaya alumni toward humanitarian causes.
The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks delivered by Dr. Karuna K., Vice Principal, expressing gratitude to all contributors and participants who made the initiative a success.
