On the occasion of International Women’s Day, the IT Club of Sahrdaya College of Advanced Studies successfully organized a workshop on 2D Game Development using Unity. The event was conducted in collaboration with Immersive Skills Academy, Infopark Kochi. This workshop was a part of the institution’s commitment to empowering women through digital skills and fostering innovation in game development.The primary objective of the workshop was to provide hands-on training in 2D game development using Unity, one of the leading game engines in the industry. Participants gained insights into game design, coding principles, and interactive storytelling, enhancing their technical proficiency and creativity.where the  Highlights are comprehensive introduction to the Unity interface and its components..Step-by-step guidance on building 2D games..Practical sessions on game physics, animations, and asset management.Real-time coding and debugging exercises.Interactive Q&A sessions with experienced mentors from Immersive Skills Academy.

The Participants of the workshop saw enthusiastic participation from women students and aspiring developers, with attendees actively engaging in the sessions. The hands-on nature of the workshop ensured participants could apply their learning immediately.The 2D Game Development Workshop was a resounding success, promoting the importance of digital literacy and technical skills among women. Participants expressed their satisfaction and eagerness to explore further opportunities in game development.
