The PG Department of Commerce of Sahrdaya College of Advanced Studies, Kodakara, organized a Workshop on Research Methodology for the V Semester B.Com students on 26th August 2025. The session was handled by Dr. Jithin Benedict, an eminent academician and researcher. The workshop was conducted in two sessions – the first from 9:15 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. and the second from 11:15 a.m. to 12:45 p.m., in Room No. 23. The session began with an introduction of the resource person, followed by an engaging presentation on the fundamentals of research. Dr. Jithin Benedict discussed in detail various aspects of research methodology such as topic selection, framing of hypotheses, research design, data collection methods, and report writing techniques.
The workshop provided a clear understanding of how to plan and execute a research project systematically. The resource person emphasized the importance of developing a research-oriented mindset and analytical thinking skills among students. The interactive nature of the session helped students clarify their doubts and understand the practical applications of research tools and techniques. Overall, the workshop proved to be highly informative and beneficial, preparing students to approach their upcoming project work with greater confidence and professionalism.
