A group of thirty five students, accompanied by Ms. Nisha K, Assistant Professor in Hindi, and Ms. Shiji V K., Assistant Professor in History, began the journey from the college at 9:30 a.m. The first destination was Cheraman Juma Masjid, Kodungallur—the first mosque in India—symbolizing religious harmony, a theme often reflected in Hindi films.

The team then visited the Marthoma Church, highlighting Kerala’s Christian heritage and inspiring reflections on the role of faith and spirituality in social life. The next stop was the Kottapuram Fort, which offered insights into Kerala’s colonial past and prompted discussions on how history and identity are portrayed in cinema.

The visit concluded at Azhikode Beach, where students reflected on the day’s experiences and the importance of natural settings in enhancing the visual and emotional impact of films. The group returned to the college by 3:30 p.m.

Overall, the field visit was both educational and enjoyable, providing the first-year students with valuable insights into Kerala’s multicultural heritage and its connections to Hindi cinema.
