The Department of Mathematics organized AALOK 2025 on 30th September 2025 through online mode. The session was handled by Ms. Lena Wels, a distinguished alumna of the department. The main focus of the session was on the topic Chaos Theory, a fascinating and complex area of mathematics that studies unpredictable yet deterministic systems. Ms. Lena Wels began the session by introducing the fundamentals of Chaos Theory and its real-world applications in mathematics, physics, and engineering. She shared insights from her own project work, explaining various mathematical models and dynamic systems that exhibit chaotic behavior. She also demonstrated the use of software tools for drawing graphs and creating mathematical figures, helping students understand how to represent complex data visually.
Furthermore, she gave practical guidelines on how to select suitable project topics, emphasizing creativity, research depth, and application.
The AALOK 2025 session was highly informative and inspiring. The active participation ofstudents and the expert guidance from Ms. Lena Wels made the event a great success. The session effectively achieved its objectives and provided valuable insights for future project
work and research in mathematics.
