The PG Department of English Language and Literature conducted the Department Association Inauguration on October 24, 2024. The meeting was presided over by Rev. Fr. Dr. Devis Chenginiyadan (Executive Director), Dr. Joy K.L (Principal) Dr.Karuna K (Vice Principal) and Prof. Dr. Sanil Raj J (HOD Department of English). Rev. Fr. Dr. Devis Cheginiyadan formally inaugurated the association’s activities for the academic year by lighting the lamp. Dr. Divya N. (Assistant Professor and Research Guide Sree Kerala Varma College, Thrissur) was the chief guest and resource person of the event. The inaugural ceremony was followed by the oath-taking ceremony of the new office bearers of the association for 2024-25.
The newly elected office bearers of the Department Association are as follows: Ms.Basilla Risaluden (II BA English) – Secretary, Mr. Maheswardev (I BA English) – Joint Secretary, Ms. Aswathy Ramadas (III BA English) – Treasurer, Ms. Shilpa K (II MA English) – II PG Representative.
Following the oath-taking ceremony, Dr. Divya delivered the keynote address on the topic “Transitional Terrains: Trends in Contemporary Literature.” The newly appointed association secretary proposed the vote of thanks. The program concluded at 4 pm.
