As part of the community outreach initiative of the college, students from the Departments of Physics, Chemistry, Geology, and Mathematics visited Shalom Sadan, a shelter home for bedridden residents, located at Perinjanam, on 12th November at 11:00 AM. The visit aimed to extend emotional support, understand the living conditions of the residents, and contribute to their welfare through voluntary donations.The group was accompanied by faculty members Ms. Esmi Davis, Ms. Divya E, and Dr. Deepthy Maria Joseph, who guided and supported the students throughout the programme. The students interacted with the residents, offering companionship, listening to their experiences, and providing emotional comfort. The students and teachers observed the facilities, care systems, and medical support provided within the home. A monetary donation of ₹9000, collected by the students from all participating departments, was handed over to the management of Shalom Sadan The teachers motivated students to continue participating in service-based programmes and emphasized the importance of empathy and social commitment.
