National Study Tour 2025
The Department of Social Work at Sahrdaya College of Advanced Studies (Autonomous), Kodakara, conducted a National Study Tour for the 3rd Semester MSW (2024-2026 batch) from 21st October to 1st Novemebr 2025 as a part of their fieldwork Curriculam. This immersive educational experience took students to Delhi, the vibrant heart of India, to explore diverse social work settings, interact with professionals, and witness impactful community-based interventions.
Students had the unique opportunity to visit seven renowned social work agencies, each working in different thematic areas. These included child rights, health, sanitation, education, and environmental sustainability. The agency visits provided valuable insights into the strategies, challenges, and impact of social work initiatives in urban India. This year, the department visited six agencies and they are as follows:
- CURE International India Trust, Gulmohar Park
- All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Ansari Nagar
- Nirmal Jyoti, Vasant Kunj
- Butterflies, Jaunapur
- DB ARK – Don Bosco Animation & Research Kendra, Palam Village
- Goonj, Madan Pur Khada
- Sulabh International Social Service Organisation, Sulabh Gram
