As part of the Sametham educational programmes of Muriyad Grama Panchayat, A.U.P. School, Muriyad, in association with the Grama Panchayat, organized a one-day Film Workshop for upper primary students. The school invited Media Studies students from Sahrdaya College of Advanced Studies (Autonomous) Kodakara to conduct the sessions. The Department of Graphics took this opportunity and arranged for their students to lead the classes at the school. Students from II BA Graphics and III BA Graphics actively participated and prepared well for the workshop. Around 100 students from various schools in Muriyad Panchayat attended the programme. The sessions covered key topics such as pre-production, production, and post-production stages of filmmaking. The workshop also included the screening of the film Taare Zameen Par, followed by a debate on the theme “Film and Children.” As part of the practical session, the college students guided the participants in creating a one-minute short film, which was later edited and handed over to the school. Theworkshop was well organized, interactive, and provided valuable learning experiences for both the school students and the college participants.
