The Sketch & Canvas Workshop was organized by the Department of Graphics at Sahrdaya College of Advanced Studies, Kodakara on 24th November, in collaboration with Artisoul. The session aimed to provide students with practical exposure to sketching fundamentals and canvas-based art techniques. The workshop began with a brief introduction to the importance of sketching in visual arts, animation, and graphic design. The resource team from Artisoul demonstrated various drawing techniques such as line work, shading, proportion, texture development, and composition planning. Students were then guided through the step-by-step process of creating artwork on canvas. They explored colour theory, brush handling, layering methods, and blending techniques. The hands-on practice session allowed each participant to create their own canvas artwork under the direct supervision of the trainers.
