The Department of Social Work organized a Project Proposal Workshop on 16th November 2024. The
resource person for the workshop was Mr. Nikhil K V, Consultant of Tribal Development Programmes at
NABARD, Trivandrum, and Secretary of the NGO ASEED in Nilambur. The session focused on equipping students with the essential knowledge and skills required for preparing effective
project proposals.
During the session, Mr. Nikhil explained the fundamental components of a project proposal, including
problem identification, goal setting, stakeholder analysis, budgeting, and monitoring. He also shared real-life
experiences from his work in tribal development and NGO operations to provide practical insights.
The students were actively engaged in a hands-on activity where they worked in groups to prepare and present
project proposals on selected topics. The resource person provided constructive feedback and suggestions to
enhance their work. The program concluded successfully, with students gaining a deeper understanding of
project proposal preparation through an interactive and practical approach. Nearly 35 students participated in the programme.
