Programme Objectives: The main objective of conducting “Probability Bingo” was to engage students in an interactive and enjoyable way to reinforce their understanding of basic probability concepts. The game format helped improve critical thinking and real-time application of probability theories, while promoting team spirit and enthusiasm among students. As part of the National Statistics Day celebrations, the Department of Mathematics & Statistics organized a unique and educational game-based event titled “Probability Bingo” on 01/07/2025 at 12:00 PM in Aula Magna. A total of 6 teams, each consisting of 3 students, representing various classes participated enthusiastically in the competition. The game was a fun-filled twist on the traditional bingo game, designed to enhance students’ grasp of probability through real-life scenarios and interactive gameplay. The competition began with a brief introduction about the relevance of probability in statistics and daily life. Teams were provided with bingo cards containing various probability values, and the host read out different questions. Students had to correctly match the questions with the respective probability on their cards. After an engaging and competitive session, the results were announced.
The following teamsemerged as winners:
● First Prize: Anna Antoo, Henna Treesa,Sheza Shefeer 2nd year BCA
● Second Prize: Auswin Tom Biju, Angelete M.B , Ann Mariya Nelson
The event concluded with a vote of thanks. The feedback received from participants was
overwhelmingly positive, indicating the educational value and fun aspect of the game.
