PTA MEETING-FIFTH SEMESTER BA ENGLISH

Fifth semester BA English PTA was conducted on 15-12-21, Wednesday
Forenoon in the college Seminar hall. At 9.00am registration started at the
registration desk. The parents of the students started arriving from 9.00am. The
dias was filled with the college dignitaries. At 9.45am Head of the Department Ms.
Sheena Sarah Winny gave a welcome note to all present in the hall. Executive
Director, Rev. Fr. Dr. Devis Chenginiyaden made the Presedential address where
he made a key note on a better understanding between the parents expectations
and their wards opportunities. The Principal, Dr. Mathew Paul Ukken gave an
overall view on the academics. In the absentia of Vice Principal, Dr. Rani M.J, Dr.
Joy K.L spoke on the Code of Conduct of the college. In the absentia of Finance
officer, Fr. Shaju Chirayath, the Class Animator, Ms. Shero C.S. gave an over
view of the 3rd year academic details. Parents were shown a PPT which included
result analysis of 1st and 2nd internal exams, Attendance, Addon course etc. The
result analysis of 1st semester University exam result was also graphed and the
toppers were appreciated with a thunderous applause. Soon after a short tea
break the forum was opened for a PTA representative election. The audience
elected Mr. Sunny, father of the student Senjil Sunny and Mrs.Rosila, Mother of
the student Catherine Rose. The PTA representatives were applauded by the
whole audience. Eventually, the PTA meeting got formally concluded with a Vote
of Thanks by Ms. Metty Joby, Assistant Professor, faculty of English department
and let the forum disperse for parents to evaluate the academic progress of their
wards by having a face to face meet with HOD, Class Animator and all the
teachers engaging the 3rd year classes.Thus the meeting successfully got
concluded at 12. 30pm with a good participation of the parents.
